Hatsune Miku Project DIVA 2nd is a 2010 rhythm game created by Sega and Crypton Future Media for the PlayStation Portable. This game is the sequel to the 2009 video game, Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA, and was first released on July 29, 2010 in Japan.
The game mainly uses the same mechanism to play games from the original game though with some of the most notable changes that the game now use the D-pad (arrow buttons) and function “Hold and eject” for the face button beyond the usual gameplay.
The game also adds a hard Wednesday, Extreme, for songs harder than difficulty levels in the first game. The game will also introduce the duet, compared to the only solo songs in the first game, thus allowing the player to select the two modules instead. This also carries into editing mode of the game which allows players to create PV for duet with two modules in it.
A total of 66 songs are available in Hatsune Miku Project Diva 2nd. 47 Songs (28 new and 19 years old) get the usual by playing through the game, 9 tracks are only available through editing mode and 10 songs that should be purchased from the PlayStation Network.
